Potluck Brunch on our 6.5 Month Indivisiversary
Picnic Time! Join us for a Potluck Brunch on our 6.5 Month Indivisiversary!
We launched our group back on February 22 with a distress signal: ALL HANDS ON DECK!
Who knew then that 6 months later we would find ourselves transformed from a roomful of neighbors filled with shock, fear, and uncertainty into the force for courage and action we have become?
Bring friends and the fam and join us for a potluck picnic brunch under the towering trees of Columbia Park to celebrate all our wins, our courage, our camaraderie, and our determination to protect the vulnerable and send tyranny packing. If you haven't been back since winter, come through and re-connect! Newcomers always welcome!
Notes from the organizer

Medicaid Cuts Hurt All of Us! Join East Portland's Street Protests on this National Day of Action
Visibility Event · Hosted by Outer East Portland Indivisible
In Trump's Big $%#&! Bill, Congress just cut nearly $1,000,000,000,000 dollars from Medicaid to pay for tax giveaways for the wealthiest and big corporations.
Stand up for Medicaid with East Portland Saturday morning, July 26th. It's a street protest! This is a National Day of action -American families in every corner of the country will be coming together peacefully to say: our families come first, and we will protect each other.
Here in Oregon, 1 in 3 of us get our health care through Medicaid, and for kids, it more than half! Everyone, but especially older adults and disabled people – will suffer the consequences of this disastrous decision. Clinics will close. All of us will pay more and have less access to care.
Stand up to show our friends and neighbors that they are not alone, and share the news - what’s at stake for families in our country right now.
These Cuts Are Not OK! We'll be out in the streets, standing with a wide national coalition of care advocates to fight for the health care we all deserve.

July General Meeting
Join us for solidarity, friendship, and planning for good trouble. At our July General Meeting, we'll celebrate the good trouble we've been up to since June and talk about One Million Rising.
One Million Rising is Indivisible's national effort to train one million people in the strategic logic and practice of non-cooperation, and the basics of community organizing and campaign design. You can prepare for this conversation by watching the recording of Session 1 and giving serious thought to taking the next steps, which you'll hear about in the recording.
Link to Session 1 provided when you register for the July General Meeting, and it's also available on our socials and in our newsletter.
Eleanor Roosevelt told us "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." Are we ready to do those things together?
