Celebrating a Year of Accomplishments
Last Saturday, our community gathered for our annual picnic. It was a lovely afternoon with a live Beatles cover band and delicious food. The laid-back social time was perfect for catching up with our fellow Indivisibles and discussing the exciting midterm actions so many of us are doing and planning over the next two months. As a group, we focused on celebrating all our community accomplished over the last year, which left me hopeful for the future of our work and this movement. Since September 2025, D2 Indivisibles working together:
- Created opportunities for neighbors to make new friends, learn new skills, and stand up in solidarity against fascism
- Set Goals for 2026:
-
Build our capacity
- Build our community
- Influence our elected officials, elections, policies, and pillars
- Educate and mobilize our neighbors
-
Held 12 general meetings with an average attendance of 60
- Communicated with our members, partners, and friends via weekly newsletter, website, socials: Slack, Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, and Signal. Tripled the number of newsletter subscribers to over 1500.
-
Held 12 community trainings on how to resist through noncooperation, how to register voters, how to protect our vulnerable neighbors, and how to keep ourselves safe during protests
- Established a Membership team to greet and nurture our newcomers and old-timers
- Sponsored a monthly Book Club
- Held our inaugural Resistmas Craftivism Night
- Held Activist Fairs in-house and tabled at community fairs
-
Raised over $13K in the last 12 months in donations (direct contributions to ActBlue and our donation boxes, and donations for t-shirts, signs, buttons, and bracelets) to support events, ongoing activism, and acts of solidarity with fellow Resistance groups.
-
Co-organized 2 No Kings mass mobilizations with other East Side Indivisible groups and local unions; currently working on No Kings 4 event on Oct. 17 - stay tuned for details
-
Provided financial support for mutual aid, community solidarity, 2 Resistance Bootcamps, and a bail fund for activists fined for non-violent civil disobedience
- Organized a day-long May Day anti-Bezos protest at Whole Foods

-

-
Hosted Postcarding and letter-writing sessions
- Created and distributed thousands of buttons, handbills and flyers to encourage and connect neighbors
-
Ran Signs of Solidarity outreach canvasses to enlist local businesses in immigrant protection

Support Our Local Get Out the Vote Efforts with Postcards!
While face-to-face contact is the most effective way to turn out voters, many voters live in homes where that is not possible. We still need those people to vote, and a handwritten postcard reminder followed up by a text or call is nearly as effective as door-knocking! Help reach those voters! Click the link below to learn how you can help MultDems rally votes from the comfort of your own home!

Support Oregon's Seed the Vote Team! |
|
|
|
Fundraising for Oregon Seed the Vote pods is about $1,400 shy of its $15,000 goal. Help them reach their goal and have your donation doubled if you give by Friday, Sept. 18! The fund helps cover hotel and travel costs for 10 volunteers to spend a week in a targeted state talking with voters. As part of a special September Election Defense campaign, a generous donor is matching donations through September 18, so every dollar you give now will be DOUBLED.
You can donate here now and double your contribution to help close the gap of their $15,000 goal. Next month, Oregon teams, including folks from OUR D2 Pod, are headed to Michigan and Arizona! With gratitude, your D2 pod "PDX Save the Vote" and all Oregon Seed the Vote volunteers |
