Join your neighbors to celebrate another eventful year of community and Good Trouble. Socialize with your D2 friends and comrades and have some fun for a change.
Music! Games! Singing! Bandana Design Contest! No speeches! (Ok, maybe one, but really short and celebratory.) Kids welcome! Got a friend who’s Indivisible-curious? Bring ‘em along! We invite potluck dishes. D2 will provide burritos and drinks. (BYOB if you’ll want alcohol.)
We’ll have chairs, but feel free to bring a comfy folding/camp chair for the lawn. Hope to see you there! PLEASE RSVP so we can plan for the food. |

at the NE Corner of Grant Park, between NE 36th Ave and the Hollyrood School in Grant Park. Bring a lawn chair. Iced tea and popcorn provided.
Before the meeting: Make contact with anyone you know who goes to college in OR D5 or WA D3 or works at a college there, and see what you can learn about student organizations that might want to partner with us on campuses to host Voter Registration events (we do the admin and bring the donuts); they connect with peers, and we support them! A sweet deal for all!

Support Our Local Get Out the Vote Efforts with Postcards! While face-to-face contact is the most effective way to turn out voters, many voters live in homes where that is not possible. We still need those people to vote, and a handwritten postcard reminder followed up by a text or call is nearly as effective as door-knocking! Help reach those voters!

This week, Lars is highlighting two important issues to speak out on. The first is the false claims that non-citizens voted in 2020, which the regime has recently claimed to have proof of. Use some or all of this template to write your reps now. The second, is the FCC's attack on anonymous phones.
The FCC in April proposed rules that require phone companies to collect identifying information for all users of their service. This threatens danger to journalists, domestic violence victims, etc who really need anonymity. And... it seems to enlarge government surveillance capabilities for a would-be authoritarian administration. Use this template to sound the alarm with your reps today!
