No Kings Vote Early Rally Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. - Noon
Convention Center Plaza
Bring a friend and join us for this latest phase of the No Kings movement -- when we turn people power into voter power! We'll be showing up for democracy with collaborators Indivisible PDX D3, SEIU, and other community partners as we rally for this national day of action to make our voices heard and embrace our right to VOTE EARLY. There will be live music, short speeches, a honk and wave (bring your signs!), and protest art. We’ll also have information about early voting, election protection, getting big money out of politics, strike readiness, and other ways to get involved. And yes, there will be portable restrooms available! |
Candidate Forum for the Multnomah County Commission District 2 Position
October 18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Albina Library
We are hosting a Candidate Forum for the Multnomah County District 2 position, in collaboration with Multnomah Democrats, this Sunday from 1-2:30 pm. Hear directly from all seven candidates and leave ready to rank your choices with confidence. The 5-member Multnomah County Commission controls a $4 billion budget that funds a sprawling system of essential services, including Public Health, Housing & Homeless Services, Public Safety (Sheriff's Office, District Attorney, County jails, and County courts), bridges, animal shelters, libraries, and Preschool for All.
Volunteers still needed for this event! Please send us an email if you can help! |

Ongoing D2 Neighbors Initiatives |
|
|
|
| Hens for solidarity! Eggs for all!
Here's a great opportunity for D2 Neighbors looking for an easy way to get involved in immigrant solidarity. Donate fresh eggs to families in need in North and Northeast Portland, and at the same time support an immigrant-owned Oregon farming business. Of course, you can also purchase an egg CSA subscription for yourself! The hens are free-range on organic pasture. Families receiving donated eggs are low-income and include many immigrant households who need special support right now. To donate eggs or to subscribe to the CSA, visit: https://trent-family-farms.myshopify.com/
