You have until July 2nd to submit a public comment opposed to the newly proposed USPS rule that threatens mail-in voting. In April, Trump issued an executive order aimed at making the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) responsible for determining who may vote by mail and instructed it to refuse to deliver ballots sent by anyone not included on newly created federal mail voter lists, and threatened criminal penalties for carriers and election officials who do not abide by the new rules. Learn more at the Federal Register or check out this informative document created by D2 member, Donna C.
This may be the single most important way you can help protect elections in Oregon. Please take action and share this with everyone you know. Submit comment: -
Use this Protect Democracy form to submit your public comment
-
Mail written comments to Director, Product Classification, U.S. Postal Service, 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Room 4446, Washington, DC 20260-5015.
-
Email comments, containing the name and address of the commenter, to: PCFederalRegister@usps.gov with a subject line of “Ballot Mail.”
The Postmaster General's testimony before Congress on Wednesday clearly outlines the plan to force states to give the Trump Regime the power to decide who gets to vote. This is an existential threat to Oregon's vote-by-mail system. Protect your right to vote. Submit your opposition to the proposed USPS rule. |

Write Your Reps - Letters with Lars! |
|
|
|
| Our resident letter to reps writer, Lars, is highlighting two issues this week!
First, the objection to Trump's nominee for Acting DNI, the blatantly unqualified Bill Pulte. It is looking like Pulte will be in this position for the foreseeable future, so let our reps know his leadership is unacceptable! Use his letter verbatim, or make it your own.
The second is about ICE's purchases of warehouse facilities for detention centers, as both morally repugnant and malfeasance. Use his letter or make it your own!
All letters include references to articles if you want to learn more about a topic. |

Help Support Mutual Aid and Rapid Response in D2!
ICE isn't done with mass detention and deportations. As of spring 2026, Tom Homan is threatening to surge into sanctuary cities like Portland. Our small but mighty volunteer group is practicing solidarity and planting seeds of community by continuing to help feed families affected by immigration enforcement. The need hasn't gone away. Join us! If you'd like to know more, contact Anna S. Please tell us about yourself, including any immigrant support work you’ve done, and/or note other D2 folks you know.
